Pro-Life Day of Silent Solidarity

October 3, 2008 by ohiolife

Since January 22, 1973 over 50,000,000 babies have had their voices silenced through surgical abortion in this nation alone

“On October 21st, people from all over this nation will give up their voices for a day in solidarity for these children. Red arm bands and duct tape will identify them as taking part in the Pro-life Day of Silent Solidarity. They will carry fliers explaining why they are silent and educate others about the plight of the innocent children we are losing every day.”

The Women’s Clinic of Columbus is a new community supported organization and it is hosting its inagural 5K “Walk for Life” the morning of Saturday, September.27!

“The Women’s Clinic of Columbus opened in June of this year as an alternative to women with unplanned pregnancies.  It is the vision of Pastor Rod Parsley, found and senior pastor of World Harvest Church.  The clinic’s mission is to care for the whole woman-body, soul, and spirit.  They provide free pregnancy tests, free ultrasounds and a wide variety of other educational and support services.  They have made an extraordinary impact on theirclients and the community in their initial weeks of operation and are hoping the 5K “Walk for Life” will help an even broader audience learn about their services.

The event will be held at the new Jack Johnson Field at World Harvest Church and will begin with a time of registration and fellowship from 7:30-9 a.m., followed by the walk, a kid’s run and program lasting until 10:45 a.m.  This event will demonstrate to the Columbus community that people of all ages and from all sectors of the community value the sanctity of human life and will devote their time and energy to support it.”
