I am wondering if there are any pertinent life issues that are on the Ohio ballot this November about which we should be informed? I am aware that Michigan has a backhanded issue that would allow for embryo cloning funding for the University of Michigan. Anything in that same arena in Ohio?

Specifically, the only “life” issue that is on the ballot centers around the Governor’s $400 million bond package that is up to Ohioans to approve. Please recall that the Governor VETOED Ohio Right to Life and Ohio Christian Alliance’s efforts to ban funding for human cloning within this bond package.
THe Governor wants to give our money to companies and universities to conduct unristricted research on human embryos, to include Human Cloning.
The key with the fall ballot is that it will be littered with many ballot initiatives to include Casino gambling, pay day lending, sick days, etc. Many in the “Life” movement have agreed to “JUST VOTE NO” across the board on all of these issues, some of which were designed to be overly complicated with the hope of getting voter approval or disaproval on elelction day.
